Color is such a powerful thing.

It has the power to affect how things taste, how things look, how we perceive things, how we love things. Color is indeed powerful. Right.

Albeit, all of the good things color brings into this world, color has one major flaw.

It segregates.

Throughout history, a man's color and physical appearances continually defined him. The apartheid, the white supremacist movement, Holocaust, slavery and up to this day, political suppression by race and color.

It took the land of the free, United States of America, over 200 years before it got its first black president. Yes, 2 centuries before a color of man does not dictate his measure.

Till this day, racism ~~has~~ is the biggest social problem i believe the world i facing. In Malaysia, racial tensions have never been this tense before. So much so that even then younger generations are in on it.

Even I, yours truly have been susceptible to racist thoughts. I know, no one is perfect, but wouldn't the world be a better place if we place human race first before our own race/ tribe?

It dawn to me this question yesterday.

What defined the previous decade? (2000-2009)

What incident or single action or even creation in the previous decade that would change human history forever?

In a decade where a lot has happened, it is very difficult to answer. People may say the war on terrorism, some say the energy crisis which was at its beginning, while others might say the countless disasters that happened that year.

All in all, you are entitled to believe which event may impact you the most and you are right. Nobody has a right to say which event in your life is not of importance or which one is more important. You decide.

So this is my choice. The Four things which in my opinion defined my 2000s that has impacted not only me but how people around me think, act and live.

1. The War on Terror

There is just to many things to say about this endless war. We are in the year 2011 and the War on terror has not stop. The war has spanned over a decade and what are the results of it? Death. Just Good ol' plain death. Unnecessary deaths where innocent people should have never been killed. The War on Terror is a long chapter in the 2000s so it continues beyond that decade towards another decade.

2. Aceh Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina

One of the worst disaster that have fallen on Indonesia and America respectively. The Tsunami that hit Banda Aceh was one of the worst the world has ever seen but the aftermath of it was much more than what we can ever imagine. The Aceh Tsunami was not expected but the Katrina Hurricane was. But no one ever thought it would be that bad. Just as the Aceh Tsunami, the Hurricane destroy millions of lives in New Orleans, destroyed a beautiful city but the effect of it shall last generations and beyond. Yet in the midst of all the chaos and pain, we humans showed what we made of when faced adversity. By not denying our fellow brothers and sisters a helping hand. Ahhh, Humanity so fragile yet so dangerous. Capable of the greatest thing in life, love and yet, capable of doing the worst, Hate.

3. Apple Inc.

Why Apple? It has revolutionize how we think, interact with one another, listen to music. Those are just the many examples, what the company has impacted the world. I am not an apple user or an Apple advocate but i cannot deny the influence Apple has on the technology world today. Apple revolution started with the iPod. A simple listening device which will forever be in the hands of young teenagers eager to look cool while listening to cool music.Then comes the itunes and the Macbook's, the iMac, Macbook air's and what I believe is Apple's Holy Grail, the iPhone. The iPhone has revolutionize how we interact with one another, how we communicate. How a simple device like a phone be so integral in our lives. The fact that people are just fixing their eyes on that little small screen chatting, watching videos, reading the news somehow made the world a smaller place.

Not only that, how many of you can deny the fact that at least once, when hanging out with your friends, all of you are transfixed, No, glued onto that little small screen either chatting away with a lover continents apart or even playing a simple game of blackjack? Not many people can deny that.We all knew that the smartphone is the next level of the phone but little did we know it will come this early and grow this fast. It has since continue to grow with notable adversary in Google and Microsoft. Together they pushed the Smartphone era into its limelight and Tween years.

4. Facebook

What is the first site you check one you open a browser? I admit to this my first one is my email and the second one is my Facebook account. Facebook has change the was social media works. Why is Facebook so addictive? Why does it appeal to me? In the words of Mark Zuckerberg himself, Facebook is cool. That's why you are addictive to Facebook. The same way as Apple revolutionize the Technology department, Facebook revolutionize how we perceive Social Media and the internet as a whole. It overtook Google as the most important dot.com company in just matter of years.

People now find jobs on Facebook, meet and make friends on Facebook, date on Facebook, make money out of it, complain on Facebook. Practically every single human function you want to do in real life you can do on Facebook.(Try shitting, maybe there's a Facebook game for it) Because of Facebook, social websites has become important part of our lives, because we humans are social people right? An old saying, no man is an island prove to be very true. These social websites are very much part of the evolution of the Web to Web 2.0. Web 2.0 is the basis of social media. Where would social media be without Facebook? No where. Facebook made the Web cool again without having to be geeky.

Well here's my list. Things that I believe will be remembered by the whole world because of the weight or the impact it has on our community not only locally but worldwide.

Yesterday we, as a nation has the biggest Football match in our recent years or in more accurate terms to say it, the most looked forward to match for Malaysia for the past one or two decades.

And you know what, We, Malaysia lost the match.

We were riding high after winning Gold medal in the SEA Games and winning the Tiger AFC tournament

Technically we didn't lost the match last night, it was a draw, 1-1

But we did loss the first leg, 5-3

Even though our team lost I have never been more prouder for the Malaysia team, like ever. They fought valiantly for the past two competitions and manage to get the whole country to come back and support them, Pasukan Harimau Malaya has done its country proud.

Props to Singapore for making it a derby worth watching. (Since we had a long history with Singapore, pre Independence and post independence)

Yeah, practically most of the Malaysian (including me) would say that the Singaporean footballers are not made up of Singaporeans who were born and raised in the country but we should always be graceful in defeat and let them know the next time we meet, its the Tiger's turn to trounce the Lion!!

I think the Pac-Man didn't just knock some sense into the Hit Man, he took the dudes balls away.

In a BBC article Hatton describe himself as 'hitting rock bottom and it almost drove me insane' This was after we all found out he used cocaine and blah blah blah the rest is history.

Truthfully speaking, Ricky was one of my favorite fighters (when he is fit) because he didn't just hit strong but he hit SCARY!! He only lost two of his fights (the aforementioned Pacquiao fight and Mayweather Jr.) Both can be considered the best fighters of this generation. No shame in that.

I'm a huge MMa fan and Just recently (I mean just hours ago) UFC had their latest event UFC 132 Cruz Vs Faber. The first ever bantamweight title fight under UFC banner.

I'm a bigger fan when it comes to the smaller weight classes for MMA. Why you ask? because these dude are fun to watch that's why. Guys like Jose Aldo, Dominick Cruz, Urijah Faber, Korean Zombie (Cool fight name right) These are just one of the many talented smaller weight class fighters coupled with the light weight divison who i consider to be in the small weight class categories ( we know how stacked the UFC light weight division is) man so much fun, so much carnage.

I am a fan of NBA basketball so it saddens me that there is a lockout season on the way...

What? A lock out?

Whats that?

Is that when a team don't allow points in one game?

That was not my initial reaction, but I didn't quite understand what is a lockout season, why is it happening etc.

So I did my research on the lock out season and guess what, the best site to go is NBA.com

Everything you need to know about whats happening and what are the problems are found there. I want to salute the people who worked on the NBA.com website they are doing an absolutely great job by dissipating information to fans. That's not the best part, the best part is the information given is very straight forward and simple.

No big words involve or crazy terms where only a lawyer you hire would read the stuff all night to freaking understand the problem.

Here's my understanding of the lockout season. Basically, nobody can play basketball professionally in the league (not even to use the teams facilities) because the Collective Bargaining Agreement or CBA is not met. The players and the owners could not reach the agreement so the Big dogs (owners) say aite's lil' dogs well just close the season until an agreement is met.

This is all about the salary. The owners want a better deal because they don't want to pay so much for someone say like a Mike Bibby who is at the tail end of his career ( I am not saying Mike Bibby Sucks, he is an exceptional player) so that the money can be use to build better squads.

So that's basically it. They need to reach an agreement on the CBA because this lockout will effect a heck lot of people.We must remember that basketball in america is a billion dollar business so man we be losing a lot of money if they had a long lock out.

What has happen to the most beloved game in the world? The game that is suppose to be uniting people of different culture, religion and race? Has it been reduce to just another political game, a political calculation? Has turn into a cash cow machine?

I understand football is a multi billion business with all the sponsors and telly rights and money is important in fooball but this shit is just to much. Bribing, accusation and all. I don't really care who is at fault but the fact is the governing football body itself is not united to make the game better. They are probably more united in getting more money for their own pockets.

Third part of my analysis of West Ham United relegation. This part we look at the midfield category.

Scott Parker
Jack Collison
Thomas Hitzlsperger
Pablo Barera
Luis Boa Morte
Radoslav Kovac
Mark Noble
Junior Stanislas
Gary O'neill

The first I have to say is that Scott Parker deserve his PFA player of the year award because of his commitment, passion and his play personally on the field. If he had a little bit more help from his teammates, maybe just maybe, West Ham could have avoided the drop.

Here are the list of midfielders who I feel played well enough for the team

Scott Parker
Mark Noble (when he is not injured)
Thomas Hitzlsperger
Jack Collison

I believe this four are the best in the midfield in the squad whenever they played. Parker is our general not only in the midfield but for the whole team. He is the heart and soul of the team on the pitch. Mark and Thomas played quite well whenever they are not injured. Mark brings the same kind of passion and commitment to the team like Parker albeit a little lack of quality compared to Parker. Thomas has been Thomas, scoring screamers and playing the more central role with less roaming type. He played well enough but not very outstanding. Collison like Noble are from our famous academy played well enough. Great movement on the ball, can dribble, definitely can see the pass. I hope the team can hold on to him because he may be the future of the club in the midfield department. I presume the likes of Parker, noble and Hitzlsperger would be leaving for top flight football.

Well as for the rest of them, they kinda there and not there. Like Chips more cookies. Now you see them and now you don't. Players like Dyer, Boa Morte have well pass their prime and especially dyer are always injured. These players are paid first team wages and are not playing to that standard or even not playing at all. I'm very disappointed with Barrera. I thought he could bring the flair into the team. But he just failed to even exert himself i any game. Maybe the hype got to him. Junior is a wannabe. I fell he needs to find a niche for himself. He tries so hard to be a player he is not. He is trying to be like Ashley Young or even Cristiano but has not reached that standard yet. He has the potential but he gotta work at it. I fell all he needs to do is to keep it simple during games.

As for Kovac and O'neill they are okay players. The in between players I called them. They are fantastic players if they were to play in the Coca-cola championship but are just squad team players in the premier league.

Surprisingly, the midfield department of the club is kinda solid with Parker in it. Without him, the club would just another club waiting to get relegated without a fight.

Apple Cloud Music on the rise

With regard to their cloud music offering, it looks like Apple is now just about ready to rock and roll. It would seem that this is now coming together even faster than they anticipated. And that may be thanks to two unlikely sources: Google and Amazon.

CNet’s Greg Sandoval is reporting tonight that Apple has signed an agreement with music label EMI to offer its music through Apple’s upcoming new cloud music service. This means that Apple now has agreements in place with two of the four major labels (Warner signed last month). And Sandoval believes that deals with the remaining two, Sony and Universal, could be wrapped up as early as next week. Again, rock and roll.

With those deals in place, it means that Apple will be free to launch their cloud service anytime they please. And while we had heard the initial plan was to do so at their annual music event in the early fall, Apple could indeed move the launch up to WWDC in early June (just a few weeks from now). We haven’t heard anything definitive about this either way, but you can bet that Apple is thinking about it.

It would be a pretty savvy move. One that would make their rivals look bad. Really bad.

You see, while Apple is believed to have had the infrastructure work done for a while for their cloud music offering, the hold up was these label deals. Negotiations have been ongoing for months, and given the stakes, it seems likely that they could have gone on for many more months. Then Amazon decided to get ballsy.

This is the continuation of my analysis of West ham united relegation from the premier league this season. Now lets us take a look at their defense

Wayne Bridge(Loan From Man City)
Lars Jacobsen
Tal Ben Haim (Loan From Portsmouth)
Jordan Spnece
Jonathan Spector

As you can see, not much quality around the backline. The Goalkeeper has a shoe string for nerves what more the defense. Matthew Upson is just like Robert Green, Ever inconsistent and surely unreliable at times. Did the world cup effected the both of them that bad? what is worst that Upson is the captain of the squad. I have no qualms on that he may have tried his hardest and best to win but I think when a captain plays badly for at least half a season he has to be replace. Who you might add? How bout the PFA player of the year, Scott parker.

Danny Gabbidon is busy chatting up his twitter rather than focusing on the matters on field. I read lately that he was pissed about some twits fans posted and directed to him because he missed out a freaking comma. Chill out bro, there are worst things in life than fans hating you because you twitted with a missing comma. Whats worst you ask? try getting relegated and got bitched about it.Try that Gabby.

Tomskins and Reid are young and mistakes are to come so not much to say about their performances but hopefully they can improve a little bit faster so that the team can get back up to the league without any much delay. I believe these two would be the ideal center backs for the upcoming coca-cola championship because of their youthfulness and hunger. Besides that, we need a new back line after the old guards severely let us down.

Da Costa and Bridge has been inconsistent at times but they fare better than Upson I believe. They were more consistent and less mistakes but of the two, this season Da Costa had a better season. Bridge did not meet my expectation maybe because of the off field antics which still haunts him or the injuries has finally caught up with him. I remember (During his time in Southampton) him as an excellent defender, cross provider and dead ball specialist. Non of these attributes was really on show this season.

Surprisingly Lars Jacobsen had a solid season in right back. One of the the better players when he played. He is not really the premiership standard maybe a role team player but tells you the depth of the West Ham squad. Very shallow. He did well when he played. Not particularly outstanding just a solid right back.

Illunga, Spector, Spence and Ben Haim are just squad players I believe. No impact just costly mistakes from the likes of Ben Haim. Illunga played early on but seems like the manager preferred Bridge than him. Spence had a terrible game against Wigan but he is still young and if he learns to put where the past is suppose to be and move forward and improve in every game he has a future in the team. Spector played many different positions, he is the jack of all trades but a not very good one though. Versatile but not the classiest defender in the team.

Many people often ask me why do I support West Ham United from the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Man United or even Spurs. I normal teams that people from this part of the world would support. I usually answer them because of the club history I support the club.

Yes, the history of West Ham United (Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters was an integral part of the 1966 England World Cup winning side) enthralls me so much when I was 13 (2001) years old that I decided to support the team through thick and thin. As they got relegated I have stuck with them by constantly keeping myself updated with the latest musings of West Ham United in the coca-cola championship.

When the Hammers return to the top flight I was ecstatic. The club did not only play and win but they played with a certain flair and heart with the likes of Yossi Benayoun and as the seasons passed we acquired World class player like Carlos Tevez.

This season was different. From the start, I felt that the club made the wrong decision to bring in Avram Grant. Yes he brought Portsmouth to the F.A. Cup finals but they still got relegated. The players weren't much into games with the exception of Scott Parker.There are so many things that went wrong this season and I will try my best to cover it starting with the Goalkeeper.

From the list we can see that the goalkeeping department lack depth and experience. Aside Green, the other three goalkeepers are just starting in their footballing careers and the average age between the three young keepers are 22 years old. I am not saying they are bad goalkeepers because they are young (look at Joe Hart, Iker Casillas etc.) but if the manager trust them shouldn't they be in the game since Robert Green has been having a torrid season since the world cup? This have prove something to me that the goalkeepers are not to the standard of the league or the manager doesn't trust them.

Robert Green is terrible this season. There. I have said it. He truly had a disappointing season for somebody fighting for the England No. 1 jersey. Most of the times we was unsure, erratic, nervous every single attribute you don't want a keeper to have he had it. My say is Goodbye Green and buy a new keeper. He has done too much damage already it is better he leaves before it gets worse.

Clean Sheet: 5(tied for the 2 worst record with two other clubs)
Conceded goals: 67 ( third worst in the league)
Goals against average per match: 1.81 ( third worst in the league)
Goal difference: -24 ( The worst in the league)

We are at least in the bottom three for any one of the categories. We have a 56.7% chance the opponent will score first in any match away or home. Compared to one of the relegation candidates Birmingham City who are at 48.6%

With a defensive and Goalkeeping like this there is no wonder we got relegated so easily without any fight. In the coming post I will talk about the defensive frailties of the West Ham United Back line and the shining light that might help them to come back up straight from relegation into the premier league once again.

Eldar Murtazin is back with a new set of predictions. The Russian blogger and tech enthusiast claims that Microsoft is preparing to purchase Nokia’s mobile division and talks regarding this deal will begin next week. It’s not the first time Murtazin started off some rumors and it certainly won’t be the last time, though we should be wondering whether there is some truth in his words.

As far as I can remember, it was Murtazin who said that Nokia might replace its CEO last year and months laterStephen Elop took Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo place. People quite often say that looks can be deceiving but sometimes looks does not deceive you. For instance
What do you think this is? hmm fashion designer? maybe how bout a homosexual? yes... Don't try to cheat la. On the outside you say he is not gay but inside your mind the first thing that comes to your mind is he is gay because the way he dress and his looks. Right?

How I know? because that's what I thought when I saw this picture. This guy was granted asylum in the UK due to the fact that our country does not encourage and support the Gay community. He was afraid for his own safety. You never know he might just walk around and suddenly some stranger would just bash him.

I'm blogging this not to discriminate the Gay community of this country but to remind the general population that there are much more bigger problems in this country then just the rise of the gay community. How bout the issue of rape? or even corruption? or murder? I don't see a problem with people being gay/ homosexual. As long they do not bring problem to society.

The blog has been stagnating for quite some time so it's time to freaking revive it.

I just got back home ( Kuching) from Johor and I was pondering on things to do while i'm in Kuching to make my stay back home worthwhile. So I made a list of things to do while chilling in a prison resort.

The list goes like this

1. Go Sprinting every single day ( at least try to lah)

2. Try to finish reading 4 books which includes to kill a mocking bird, Have a little faith, Rich dad and pride and prejudice. ( Yes, pride and prejudice, Nope i'm not a wussy)

3. Learn to play the piano ( DIY- no money to learn from a teacher) and to improve on my guitar slaying skills :)

4. Cook. You never know it might come in handy. ( Yeah, I suck at cooking)

Yeah that list kinda sums it all that I want to achieve during the hols beside hanging out with my family and friends.

I'm gonna try to post up my sprinting sessions. Something I got from Men's Health November edition. Lets just call it Experiment Trying to get fit 1#
